Sarayreh inaugurates ICT conference

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Jamal Sarayreh on Sunday inaugurated the National Conference on Communication and Information Technology under the title “Reality and Challenges of the Telecommunication Sector in Jordan”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Minister of ICT and Public Sector Development Majd Shweikeh said that the communication and information technology sector is among the most developed in Jordan, with a 12 per cent contribution in the total domestic revenues.
The conference, which was organised by the Jasmine Foundation, addressed issues related to cyber security and smartphone applications, among others.
