Saidan, Cyprus ambassador talk water cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Water and Irrigation Motasem Saidan and Cypriot Ambassador Michalis Ioannou on Tuesday discussed means to enhance bilateral cooperation and key challenges in the field of water sector governance.
Saidan reviewed the ministry’s plan to include governorates in the water companies operating with the management and distribution of water and sanitation services, in a bid to improve the level of services, facilitate procedures for citizens and raise the efficiency of operation and maintenance, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Ioannou commended the Kingdom's efforts to address the increasing water challenges, stressing the importance of signing a memorandum of bilateral cooperation during the coming period to frame the foundations of future cooperation.
