Sadaqa Campaign participates in global conference on women

AMMAN — The Sadaqa Campaign is taking part in the Women Deliver 2016 Global Conference recently held in Copenhagen, Denmark, according to a campaign statement sent to The Jordan Times.
The conference, which concludes on Thursday discusses issues related to the health, rights, and well-being of girls and women in the last decade.
On Tuesday, Lara Ayoub and Reem Aslan, Sadaqa team members, reviewed the story of the campaign and its achievements in creating new forms of cooperation between public and private sectors in implementing Article 72 of the Labour Law.
The article focuses on the importance of establishing a crèches at workplace in institutions hiring more than 20 women. Sadaqa Campaign, established in 2011, signed a partnership agreement with the International Labour Organisation this year to boost gender equality in the Jordanian labour market.
