Royal visit to Japan a ‘great success’, says ambassador

AMMAN — Japanese Ambassador to Amman Okuyama Jiro on Thursday affirmed that His Majesty King Abdullah’s recent visit to Japan was “a great success", and demonstrated the "strong and deep-rooted" relations between the two countries.
Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the ambassador added that the Royal visit provided an opportunity for both sides to explore ways to further enhance cooperation and strategic partnerships in various fields.
He expressed his happiness over the opportunity to host Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania and HRH Crown Prince Hussein on their visit to Japan.
The diplomat noted that during the visit, Their Majesties and the Crown Prince held several meetings, which provided a "valuable" opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest.
He expressed hope that the visit will further boost the bilateral relationship between Japan and Jordan and pave the way for greater cooperation and collaboration in the future.
The envoy extended his appreciation to King Abdullah, Queen Rania and Crown Prince Hussein for their visit, expressing his country's aspiration to continue its close relationship with Jordan for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples.
