Royal Decree approves protocol for Jordan, Iraq investment cooperation

AMMAN — A Royal Decree has been issued approving a Cabinet decision pertaining to the approval of a cooperation protocol signed by the Ministry of Investment and the Iraqi National Investment Authority.
According to the Official Gazette, the protocol, which was recently signed by the two parties in Baghdad, aims to promote cooperation and increase mutually beneficial, direct investment in key sectors, while adhering to the laws and regulations of both countries.
As per the protocol, the two sides will exchange information, experience and legislation on investment promotion, relevant publications and available studies and research in this area, Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
Both parties have also agreed to share expertise in several areas, including the establishment of development zones, investment promotion, and offering comprehensive investment services and incentives.
The protocol also includes collaboration on training programmes, seminars and other related activities, as well as dispatching technical staff to participate in the programmes, seminars and workshops organised by each party.
