AMMAN — Pursuant to Royal directives, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Monday continued his meetings with leaders and representatives of Zarqa's Ruseifa District at the Royal Hashemite Court.

These meetings serve as a follow-up to His Majesty King Abdullah's visit to the district on June 26, where he met with leading figures from Ruseifa to gain familiarity with the district’s needs, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

At the beginning of the meeting, attended by Adviser to His Majesty for Tribal Affairs Atef Hajaya and Zarqa Governor Hassan Jbour, Issawi noted that King Abdullah has always stressed the importance of alleviating the burdens faced by citizens. Issawi emphasised His Majesty's commitment to improving the level of services, especially in the health and education sectors, and creating jobs to reduce poverty and unemployment among the youth.

Issawi, who is also head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, noted that several previous Royal initiatives across various sectors had been implemented in various areas of the district.

Royal initiatives targeting the district are ongoing, Issawi said, noting that the next phase will focus on productive development projects aimed at increasing youth employment.

For their part, the attendees praised His Majesty's visit to Ruseifa. The attendees noted that the Royal visit, which falls within the framework of His Majesty's commitment to continuous engagement with citizens in various regions of the Kingdom, will have positive effects on the district.

They also stressed the importance of the environmental park inaugurated by His Majesty during his visit, which has transformed the phosphate hills area into a recreational space for the district's residents, addressing previous environmental concerns.

Attendees also reviewed the district’s most pressing concerns regarding the education, healthcare, environment, youth and infrastructure projects.

At the end of the meeting, Issawi confirmed that all demands and proposals will be reviewed and studied by the relevant authorities.
