AMMAN — The 2018 Jordanian Household Conditions report revealed that basic living expenses, which include education, healthcare and residence; owned or leased, preside over all priorities among Jordanian households. Owning real estate for residential purposes, according to the report, outweighs all other expenses, including education and healthcare, notwithstanding clothing, transportation, utilities and food.

The report showed that the economic priorities and concerns of Jordanian households were high prices, employment and wages, according to an official statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The report was announced during the launch of the “Jordanian Household Conditions” and “Refugee Household Conditions” reports on Thursday.

Mohammad Meqdadi, secretary general of the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA), Stefano Severe, UNHCR representative in Jordan and a number of members of the NCFA’s board of trustees, as well as representatives of government institutions and concerned bodies attended the launch ceremony.
