AMMAN — Participants in the Renewable Energy Forum: “Present and Future”, on Saturday called for “demystifying” the strategy creation and development process in the renewable energy sector.
They recommended directly integrating the private sector in the formation of a renewable energy strategy and launching a governing body to guarantee transparency, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Towards the end of the forum, participants also called for a reconsideration of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission’s structure and formation to increase its regulatory efficiency and its ability to monitor procedural safety and ensure citizens and investors are granted their rights.
