Razzaz vows zero tolerance on drug related crimes

AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Wednesday declared that "we are at war with narcotics", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Following a briefing of the Cabinet on the 2018-2020 National Anti-Narcotics Strategy, the prime minister vowed zero-tolerance with drug trafficking and use, and said that the government and the Public Security Department agreed on an integrated plan to intensify the fight against narcotics.
Razzaz added that drug use is punishable by law, pointing out that there will be no room for nepotism or interference by anyone in any narcotics-related case. The PM emphasised the importance of public campaigns in raising awareness among various components of society on the dangers narcotics pose.
