Queen Rania meets with women from Al Zarqa Governorate

AMMAN — Her Majesty Queen Rania hosted a lunch in Al Zarqa Governorate for female representatives of various sectors on Sunday, where she commended the distinguished women for leaving a mark on their community. 

At the lunch, which was held at the Hashemite University’s campus, Her Majesty was welcomed by the university’s Vice President, Sultan Maani and Al Zarqa’s Governor, Hasan Jbour, before having a discussion with the women who work at various educational institutions, and are active in social, volunteer and youth-related work, according to a statement from Her Majesty’s office. 

Addressing the women, Her Majesty said: “You are the mothers, sisters and wives of men making us proud through their commitment and dedication to the country.” 

Jbour thanked Her Majesty for the visit, which he noted reflects love for Jordan’s people. He also conveyed how much of an honor it is for the governorate to have this meeting, and concluded by stressing his appreciation for Her Majesty’s various initiatives across the kingdom.
