AMMAN — The Royal Medical Services Directorate at the Queen Rania Hospital for Children on Thursday launched the “learning opportunity” programme, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The programme, in cooperation with the Education Ministry, the Directorate of Education and Military Culture, and the Civil Defence Department, aims to give children hospitalised for long periods the chance to continue their education.
Under the initiative, classes will be provided in key subjects like Arabic, maths and English from Grade 1 to Grade 6. Hospital classes will count as school attendance days, to support young patients academically and psychologically.
