AMMAN — Director of the Coronavirus Crisis Management Cell, Brig. Gen Mazen Faraiah on Tuesday said that the Jordanian government is working on procuring more COVID-19 vaccines, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Faraiah urged the public to apply for vaccination at "Vaccine.jo". He also highlighted the importance of wearing masks and observing social distancing. He said that the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) has contacted more than 10,000 applicants via SMS to be vaccinated.
These messages specify the date and venue of the vaccination. A call centre will soon be established to help those who encounter technical difficulties, he added, highlighting that the number of applicants has increased sharply in the last couple of days. "The vaccine is part of an integrated system that leads to a return to normalcy, Faraiah noted.
