Public urged to exercise caution amid unstable weather conditions

AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate on Wednesday urged the public to exercise caution and to stay away from low-lying and flood-prone areas. Warning of the expected weather conditions, the directorate also called on motorists to exercise caution while on highways due to slippery roads, cautioning the public of fog formation during late night hours in mountainous areas, and of low visibility, mainly in the Badia region, due to dust formation. It also called on the public to ensure the safe use of heaters and to ventilate residences occasionally. The directorate stressed that all its police personnel are ready to offer all services, urging the public to contact 911 in case of emergencies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
