Prosecutor announces 2 exceptions to new gag order

AMMAN — Amman Prosecutor General Hassan Abdallat on Wednesday said that the gag order related to matters surrounding HRH Prince Hamzeh, which was issued on Tuesday, includes the course of the investigation, confidentiality of investigations, integrity of investigations, proofs, its parties, and everything related to that.

In remarks to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Abdallat said that the gag order excludes the right to freedom of expression and opinion within the framework of law, notably the Press and Publication Law. The ban excludes all official statements, he said, stressing that the ban is valid until a further notice.
