Princess Dana attends Culture Summit Abu Dhabi 2017

AMMAN — HH Princess Dana Firas, vice president of the Petra National Trust board, on Wednesday participated in the Culture Summit Abu Dhabi 2017, inaugurated by Emirati Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Around 300 people from 80 countries participated in the summit, where discussions focused on using culutre to face global challenges including the fight against extremism, climate change and heritage preservation.
Princess Dana highlighted the importance of countries and international agencies cooperating to establish a new cultural platform that boosts and extends cultural cooperation among countries.
She added that challenges facing cultural heritage are not limited to terrorism but also extend to mismanagement. She also presented efforts to boost cultural heritage in Petra.
