Princess Basma Bint Ali receives Hashemite University delegation

AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma Bint Ali, founder of the Royal Botanical Garden, on Monday received a delegation from the Hashemite University.

Princess Basma and the delegates discussed means of enhancing cooperation, where both sides agreed to prepare a joint framework, mainly in supporting seeds bank, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Director general of the garden Mohammed Shahbaz provided a detailed briefing on the establishment and achievements of the garden, such as preserving the national green cover and its sustainability through establishing a seed bank, gardens and specialised nurseries.

Khalid Hyari of the Hashemite University expressed the university’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the garden and exchange research expertise, expressing hope to benefit from the garden for scientific research purposes.
