Prince Mired commends achievements of Jordan Paralympic team

AMMAN — HRH Prince Mired, chairman of the Supreme Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, applauded the achievements of the Jordanian team participating in Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The prince’s remarks came during a phone call with the Secretary General of the Jordanian Paralympic Committee Maha Barghouthi.

Barghouthi said that the prince’s interest serves as a great incentive for the team.

Barghouthi expressed her appreciation for the great attention the Jordan Olympic Committee paid to the team, led by HRH Prince Feisal, head of the committee.

She also highlighted the role of the Ministry of Youth and the clubs affiliated with the Paralympics Committee, praising the role of the media.

She stressed that Jordan’s achievements in Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games constituted a historical turning point in the Paralympic Committee’s journey. 

Barghouthi called on all parties and private sector institutions to provide more support under the slogan “Disability is energy”.

The Jordan Paralympic Committee is planning a reception for the Jordanian team upon its arrival at Queen Alia International Airport on Wednesday.
