Police raid Irbid house used to ‘sell weapons’

AMMAN — The Irbid Police Department, supported by the Gendarmerie Department, on Wednesday raided a house in the northern governorate, where the owner used the residence for weapon maintenance and selling, and arrested two suspects, according to the Public Security Department’s (PSD) media centre.

Upon a searching of the residence, security personnel found 52 weapons and some ammunition, according to a PSD statement. The two suspects are being questioned prior to referring them to court, added the PSD.
