PM pays surprise visit to Irbid hospital

AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Tuesday made a surprise visit to the Princess Basma Educational Hospital in Irbid, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the visit, the premier checked on the hospital’s services and listened to a number of patients. The premier stressed the importance of improving the quality of services and facilitating procedures at the hospital.
Razzaz was also briefed by doctors about the workload and pressure experienced by the accident and emergency department, which receives more than 1,000 patients per day, noting that the bed occupancy rate is estimated at 96 per cent, according to Petra.
