PM mourns passing of former minister Hisham Al Khatib

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh on Wednesday mourned the passing of former minister Hisham Al Khatib who died earlier in the day. Khasawneh paid tribute to Khatib’s efforts in public service, expressing condolences to his family, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Khatib served as minister of energy, water, planning and acting minister of  public works, as well as a senator. Born in 1936 in Akko, Khatib was a recipient of several honours from Jordan, Indonesia, Austria and Sweden.
