PM inaugurates new GAM’s electronic stations

AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Tuesday inaugurated three electronic stations set up by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) that will immediately begin providing eight e-services, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The services include renewal of professional licences, queries about property tax, traffic fine payment queries, e-complaint system, tree pruning requests, lighting maintenance and dumpster replacement and placement requests. Services will be provided through three stations located in the Amman districts of Abdali, Zahran and Muqablain. Similar stations will be put in place in the rest of the capital by the end of September, Petra added.
The opening ceremony of the Abdali unit was attended by Minister of ICT and Minister of Public Sector Development Majd Shweikeh, State Minister for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh and top GAM officials. Mulki stressed the importance of expanding governmental e-services to simplify procedures and achieve customers’ satisfaction, highlighting that no citizen will bear the financial cost of the e-services, Petra said.
