PM congratulates Iraqi counterpart on new gov't

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh on Monday telephoned Iraq's Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Shia Al Sudani and congratulated him on forming a new Iraqi government. Khasawneh stressed the special status of Iraq and its people and leadership to His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Crown Prince Hussein and the Jordanian people, expressing pride in the "brotherly and deep-rooted" relations between the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The prime minister also expressed Jordan's unwavering commitment to the security and stability of Iraq and its leading role in the Arab, regional and international arenas. Sudani voiced appreciation for the Kingdom's positions towards Iraq and supporting its security, stability and development process, voicing keenness and a joint will to further strengthen the "brotherly" relations between the two countries in all fields.
