PDTRA, Princess Alia Foundation sign agreement to develop health services for working animals in Petra

AMMAN — The Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) and the Princess Alia Foundation (PAF) on Thursday signed an agreement to develop infrastructure and health services presented to working animals at the archaeological site in Petra. 

HRH Princess Alia and PDTRA Chief Commissioner Suleiman Farajat signed the agreement, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

Farajat expressed PDTRA’s keenness to develop services at the site and offer necessary care for working animals, noting that the agreement aims to exchange expertise in the fields of development and preserving the environment and animals. 

Under the agreement, programmes will be implemented under various environmental, social and economic aspects in Petra, in addition to several initiatives and projects that can improve the level of animal welfare in the area.
