AMMAN – Jordan on Monday described its partnerships with the United Nations and European Union as vital, especially in light of the "complicated" regional challenges.
Addressing the UN Security Council, Jordan's UN Deputy Ambassador Mahmoud Hmoud underlined that cooperation with the two bodies has increasingly become a "strategic" option to solve many problems facing the world’s nations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
"Jordan believes that regional challenges require regional solutions and sound partnerships between international organisations," he highlighted.
Hmoud stressed the importance of the EU role in supporting Middle East issues, which are deemed of top priority to the union's foreign agenda.
