Owais meets Tunisia, Korea envoys

AMMAN — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Wajih Owais and Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan Khalid Suhaili on Tuesday met to discuss activating the outcomes of the fifth meeting of the joint Jordanian-Tunisian Technical Committee on higher education.
A new executive programme for 2022–2025, as well as an action plan between the Jordanian Scientific Research and Innovation Support Fund and the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, was the main topic discussed during the meeting, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Both sides highlighted the ongoing coordination between the ministry and the mission to ease the process for Tunisian students awarded scholarships at Jordanian universities, Petra reported.
Also on Tuesday, Owais met with South Korean Ambassador Lee Jae-wan over enhancing cooperation in the education field. Talks focused on the ministry's plan to modernise education, notably vocational education, with Owais highlighting the role of the Korean mission in bolstering cooperation in various fields. The envoy expressed his country's readiness to continue supporting Jordan's efforts to enhance vocational education.
