One dead, 14 injured in separate road accidents

AMMAN — One man died and five people were injured in an accident on Sunday on the Jordan Valley road involving their car and a minivan.
Muath Bin Jabal Hospital Director Abdul Jalil Miqdadi said the five injured included two children.
Three were later transferred to Princess Basma Public Hospital in Irbid, Miqdadi said, adding that the injured are in fair condition.
Also on Sunday, nine people were injured in an accident that involved a car and a tow truck in the Marj Al Hamam area in Amman.
Civil Defence Department (CDD) personnel administered first aid to the injured before taking them to the King Hussein Medical Centre, where they were reported to be in fair condition.
