Oman lifts restrictions on Jordanian trucks

AMMAN — Oman has eased restrictions imposed on Jordanian trucks to enter the Arab Gulf nation for transit, Transport Minister Marwan Khitan said on Thursday.
The ministry has contacted Omani authorities to discuss the barriers and restrictions hindering the movement of Jordanian transit trucks, he said, noting that the ministry’s efforts, in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, have led to the lifting of restrictions by Omani authorities.
Highlighting the agreements signed between the two countries, the minister lauded the “solid” Jordanian-Omani ties and expressed thanks for the swift decision by Omani authorities to lift the restrictions on Jordanian trucks, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
