No Jordanians involved in umra bus accident — Foreign Ministry

AMMAN — No Jordanians were among the passengers of a bus that was engaged in a road accident on Wednesday in Saudi Arabia’s Medina Munawwara while carrying umra pilgrims (the lesser Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca), the Foreign Ministry’s operations centre said on Thursday.
The centre added that Saudi authorities had announced that Asian and Arab nationals were aboard the bus, noting that the authorities had not yet announced the names and nationalities of those who lost their lives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The bus was carrying 39 passengers, 35 of whom died and four of whom were injured.
