NEPCO’s 132-kilovolt wind energy project completed

AMMAN — The National Electricity Power Company (NEPCO) has completed its 132-kilovolt wind energy project, which is to be connected with the 100-MW project for wind-generated electricity from mass energy in Tafileh, in the southern region of the Kingdom.
This project is part of NEPCO's commitment to connecting renewable energy projects to each other, NEPCO Director General Amjad Rawashdeh said in a statement on Monday, highlighting the project's role in enhancing the stability of the Kingdom's electric system.
The 100-MW wind power project was implemented by US-based company General Electric and Spanish company Elecnor for the benefit of MASS Jordan for Renewable Energy.
