Najjar, Italian ambassador meet over advancing cultural ties

AMMAN — Minister of Culture Haifa Najjar and Italy’s Ambassador to Jordan Luciano Bizzotti on Tuesday met over the promotion of cultural ties between both countries.
Talks went over means to re-operationalise cultural relations between the countries, Najjar said, highlighting the ministry's efforts to create a balance between culture and tourism to show the Kingdom's cultural heritage through its distinguished attractions. She also invited Italy to take part in the upcoming Jerash Festival, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The envoy expressed his country's keenness on advancing Jordanian-Italian relations in the cultural field. The discussion also tackled the minister of culture's participation agenda in the Naples Conference of the Ministers of Culture of the Euro-Mediterranean Region – The First Culture Ministerial Meeting of the EU-Southern Partnership, scheduled on June 16 and 17, Petra added.
