Muslim Brotherhood leader resigns, citing health problems

AMMAN — Overall leader of the Muslim Brotherhood Society in Jordan Abdul Majid Thneibat on Thursday announced his resignation from his post for “health reasons”.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Thneibat said that his health conditions, under which he cannot perform his tasks as an overall leader, required him to resign. He expressed hope for electing a new overall leader that can choose a team at harmony with his views.
