Monitoring efforts ensured price stability in Ramadan, Eid — ministry

AMMAN — The Industry, Trade and Supply Ministry said Tuesday that inspection campaigns conducted during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, combined with the cooperation of traders and their commitment to the law, led to stabilising prices and ensuring the availability of basic commodities.
The ministry said its inspection teams issued 1,504 citations for violations during Ramadan and 61 during the Eid holiday, which was Friday through Monday.
