AMMAN — The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Tuesday announced that it has designated 1,790 free locations with Internet services where students at Jordanian public and private universities can take their final exams online.

The ministry clarified in a statement that the sites are distributed across the Kingdom's governorates so that students do not need to leave their governorate or district, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The sites include Education Ministry schools, knowledge stations of the National Information Technology Centre of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Balqa Applied University faculties, the statement said, adding that the ministry will coordinate with these entities to allow students to use the sites.

The ministry stressed its keenness to overcome all impediments the students may face in taking second-semester final exams online, especially those who have problems with poor Internet services.

The ministry called on students to access the link: http://rce.mohe.gov.jo/Labs/ to learn about the sites at which they can take the exams, urging students to adhere to public safety standards, mainly wearing gloves and masks and practising social distancing.
