Ministry collects JD432,287 in work permit fees

AMMAN — The Labour Ministry has issued 1,635 work permits for guest workers, generating JD432,287 in fees, from Saturday until the end of Tuesday.
Revenues of work permits in Irbid alone reached JD41,915 and in Karak JD24,295, while the revenues of the domestic helpers department reached about JD28,475.
The ministry said it does not target any nationality through its inspection campaigns aiming to enforce the law, adding that Syrians can work at any local institution if they have work permits.
