AMMAN — Higher Education Minister Adel Tweisi on Tuesday honoured Jordanian genetics researcher Sadeem Qdaisat, who won the “Stars of Science” talent competition show’s eighth season on MBC4 satellite channel.
Tweisi said encouraging creativity among young Jordanians is the first step towards ensuring their excellence in work, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Qdaisat, a PhD candidate, has invented a device (GenomiQ) that automates some processes related to genetic therapy at laboratories, which saves time, cost and effort. For his part, Qdaisat said he will donate the first produced device to the King Hussein Cancer Centre, because the centre was the starting point of his research.
