Medical Tourism World Summit highlights Kingdom’s ‘unique medical network’

AMMAN — The sixth Medical Tourism World Summit, Conference and Expo 2021, kicked off on Sunday.
During the ceremony, attended by Tourism Minister Nayef Fayez, President of the Jordan Hotel Association (JHA) Abdel Hakim Al Hindi briefed the gathering on a tourism and hospitality programme meant to improve medical tourism, according to a Tourism Ministry statement.
Citing hotels’ adherence to health protocols, he highlighted the Kingdom’s status as a medical tourism destination. He also highlighted “Jordan’s climate diversity, hot water, volcanic mud, therapeutic resources and physiotherapy resources across the country”.
He commended the Kingdom’s “unique medical network”, notably the specialised hospitals, health specialists and equipment. The talks also referred to an integrated tourism and hotel programme, including reception, transportation and travel procedures for patients and their accompanying persons.
