AMMAN — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohammad Abu Qudais on Sunday issued a circular asking universities presidents to encourage medical students to volunteer their skills and time to support the COVID-19 immunisation.
Abu Qudais instructed the universities to calculate students volunteering work in the vaccination event as an alternative to passing requirements of any course within the student’s study plan, as well as with regard to community service, social responsibility or any voluntary work, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Expressing the ministry’s keenness on supporting the Kingdom’s anti-coronavirus efforts, the top official said that the measure was taken to alleviate medical staffs burdens amid the vaccination process.
