Man dies in Maan house fire; Wihdat blaze extinguished

AMMAN — East Amman Civil Defence Department on Sunday extinguished a fire that erupted in five shops with a total area of 165 square metres in Wihdat, according to the CDD’s media centre.
No injuries were registered, and the cause of the fire is being investigated, the CDD added.
On Saturday, a 71-year-old man died in a house fire in Maan, according to Maan Public Hospital Director Walid Ruwad.
Maan CDD rescue teams extinguished the fire and transported the body to the hospital, he said.
