Maani hails JTA efforts, calls for joint committee

AMMAN — Education Minister Walid Maani on Sunday highlighted the partnership between the ministry and the Jordan Teachers Association to improve the education process.
During a meeting with JTA President Ahmad Hajaia and members of the association’s council, Maani commended the syndicate’s efforts to hold the Tawjihi (the general secondary education certificate examination), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister called for establishing a joint committee between the ministry and association to serve mutual goals.
For his part, Hajaia said that the syndicate will cooperate with the ministry to improve the competency of teachers as stipulated in laws and regulations.
