Lebanese army receives humanitarian aid from Jordan

AMMAN — The Lebanese Army received a shipment of humanitarian aid from Jordan on Monday, marking the second delivery within two weeks.
In a statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the Lebanese Army Command said that an aircraft carrying humanitarian assistance from Jordan arrived in the country, where the aid was delivered in the presence of Jordanian Ambassador to Lebanon Waleed Hadid and a representative of the commander of the Lebanese army.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati had expressed his gratitude during a phone call with His Majesty King Abdullah for Jordan's support of Lebanon and the Kingdom’s ongoing assistance at all levels.
Following Royal directives, a second Royal Jordanian Air Force cargo aircraft departed on Sunday for Lebanon in response to the current circumstances the country is facing.
The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) said in a statement on Sunday that the C-130 cargo plane carried humanitarian aid and had been delivered to the Lebanese army to assist in addressing the difficult conditions Lebanon is experiencing.
