AMMAN — Lawyers received training on election monitoring at the Jordan Bar Association (JBA) on Monday.

The training was conducted by the National Centre for Human Rights, which leads the national coalition to monitor the parliamentary elections, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Lawyers were briefed on the action plan for polling day, slated for September 20, to ensure the transparency and integrity of the electoral process and to deal with any violations.

JBA President Samir Khirfan said 230 lawyers have applied to participate as monitors.
