King swears in new ambassadors

AMMAN — A number of new ambassadors were sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah at Al Husseiniya Palace on Tuesday as Jordan’s ambassadors to a number of countries, according to a Royal Court statement.
Makram Queisi was sworn in as ambassador to France, Majed Qatarneh as ambassador to Canada, Ahed Sweidat as ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Maher Tarawneh as ambassador to Tunisia, Sufyan Qudah as ambassador to Romania, Mohammad Mustafa Tal as ambassador to Mexico, Khaled Qadi as ambassador to Switzerland, and Sami Ghosheh as ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi attended the swearing-in.
