AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday returned to Jordan after concluding an official visit to Morocco, during which he discussed key issues with King Mohammed VI, according to a Royal Court statement.
At their Rabat meeting on Thursday, both kings discussed bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East, voicing hope that this week’s Arab summit would bring together a joint Arab vision to resolve regional crises and overcome common challenges.
The two monarchs highlighted the importance of taking practical and tangible steps to intensify joint Arab action to better serve the interests of the Arab nations and promote common causes.
King Abdullah and King Mohammed VI discussed the main items on the Arab summit’s agenda, especially the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, the status of Jerusalem, Iraqi national reconciliation, developments in Syria and Libya, and efforts to combat terrorism.
Their talks focused on international and regional efforts to revive Palestinian-Israeli negotiations based on a two-state solution, “the only solution to the conflict”, they agreed.
