King receives regional, int’l leaders’ condolences over flashfloods

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday received cables of condolences from a number of world leaders, in which they expressed their sympathy to the King and the Jordanian people following the tragic flashfloods near the Dead Sea this weekend, the Jordan news Agency, Petra, reported.

Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz , King Mohammad VI of Morocco, Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Russian President Vladimir Putin, UK Prime Minister Theresa May, Kurdistan Iraq President ‎Nechirvan Barzani, United Nations Secretary General António Guterres and the Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abu Al Ghait, among many others, expressed their heartfelt feelings over the incident, affirming their solidarity with Jordan and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
