AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday received a phone call from Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, and reaffirmed the importance of ensuring comprehensive calm to prevent any tensions or escalations in the Palestinian territories.
King Abdullah stressed the need to stop any measures that could cause violence, escalate the conflict, and undermine the prospects of peace, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty urged taking the necessary measures to facilitate the access of Muslim worshippers to Al Aqsa Mosque, without any impediments, especially with the start of the holy month of Ramadan, which is marked by an increase in the number of Muslim worshippers and visitors coming to Al Haram Al Sharif, the statement said.
