AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah left on Monday for Washington on a working visit during which he will meet with several senior US administration officials.

The King will also meet with members of the US Senate and the House of Representatives to review Jordanian-American relations and examine means to develop Jordan’s cooperation with the US, besides current regional and international developments.

During the visit, the King will also meet with leading figures from the Arab and US Muslim communities, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty last visited the US in December and met with President Barack Obama over anti-terrorism efforts, the region and bilateral ties.

HRH Prince Feisal was sworn in as Regent.
