AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), attended a night military drill implemented by a unit of the Joint Special Operations Forces on Monday at a training site.

The Supreme Commander was briefed on the drill and its phases, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty observed the exercise, which included field operations in urban buildings, such as a night airdrop of forces, night air raids with the assistance of attack helicopters affiliated with the fifth Prince Hashem Special Forces Aviation Brigade and jetfighters of the Royal Jordanian Air Force.

King Abdullah commended the advanced level shown by the participating forces.

HRH Prince Feisal and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat also attended the exercise.

The King, at the Prince Hashem Bin Al Hussein School for Special Operation, attended the graduation ceremony of a tactical flight course, which is specialised in night operations to support all JAF units.
