King attends Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday went on a private visit to the UAE, where he attended the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Upon an invitation from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the King attended different activities that took place on the closing day of the event, held at Yas Marina Circuit and hosted by Abu Dhabi for the sixth consecutive year.
On the sidelines of the event, attended by several world leaders and global figures, the King met with Sheikh Mohammed and discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation and reviewed latest regional developments.
His Majesty also met with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, Gabon President Ali Ben Bongo, Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga, Bahrain Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa and Prince Abdullah ibni Sultan of Pahang, Malaysia.
Discussions focused on ways to boost Jordan’s relations with their respective countries.
HRH Prince Feisal was sworn in as the Regent during the King’s absence.
His Majesty returned to Amman on Sunday evening.
