The London Arab Foundation bestowed the prize upon Armouti in recognition of her outstanding advocacy work for Jordanian women, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The Arab Women of the Year awards were first organised in 2014 by the London Arabia Organisation, in partnership with the Mayor of London and Regent's University London.
The award's goal is to recognise the outstanding achievements of Arab women and serve as a role model for young women in all fields, particularly in Arab women’s empowerment.
