AMMAN — Iraqi students are allowed to enter the Kingdom through Karameh-Turaibil border crossing. Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Haidar Al Athar on Tuesday said that in coordination with Jordanian and Iraqi authorities, Karameh-Turaibil border crossing has been approved for Iraqi students; travel to the Kingdom.

The envoy, in a statement reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, highlighted the embassy’s efforts towards easing students’ traffic, expressing hope that decision would include all Iraqi residents in the Kingdom soon.

The diplomat also expressed thanks for Jordan for responding to Iraq’s calls, a move that would alleviate the burden of thousands of travellers. The Karameh crossing, 331km from Amman, is the only border crossing between Jordan and Iraq.
